Rita Louise Streib

Rita L. Streib (nee Bucy) of St. Louis, MO. Entered Eternal Life on Tuesday July 6, 2021 surrounded by her husband and children in her daughters home in Springfield, MO after a battle with COPD for 8 years. She was born in Evansville, Indiana on September 15, 1959 to the late James Everett and Mary Lucille (nee Simmons) Bucy; beloved wife of Larry A. Streib; loving mother of Jeffrey Streib, Jessica (Michael) Lopez Jr. and the late Heather (Ralph still survives) Habig; She leaves behind her Dog Children Sophie Streib and her Grand Dogs and Grand Kitties Phoebe Lopez, Bailey Lopez, Theo Lopez and Red Streib; dear sister of Mary (Bud) McKenzie, Linda Caldwell, Dorothy (Al) Cossey and the late James "Jim" Bucy; dear daughter-in-law of Georgia Streib (nee Ackerman) and sister-in-law of Wayne Streib; dear aunt, cousin and dear friend to many.

Rita loved being with her family and volunteering for many years at Bethesda Southgate Nursing Home. She enjoyed coloring, arts and crafts, shopping and making friends with everyone she meets.

Visitation will be held on Friday July 9, 2021 from 3-8 pm at the Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis, MO 63125. Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday July 10, 2021, 11:00 am in the funeral home Chapel, Interment St. Trinity Cemetery, Lemay, MO.
