Mary (Kovach) Goss

She was born in Royalton and lived in Carbondale most of her life. Following a career in nursing, Mary worked for many years at SIU as an academic advisor providing guidance in nursing and general studies to "her students". She was passionately interested in working in her yard, scouting out yard sales, and her grandchildren. Throughout her life in Carbondale, she was an active member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. She strongly valued education and helping others. Mary was the wife of the late Charles Goss, owner of Goss Realty, and is survived by her three children, David Goss, Barbara (Glenn) Delk and Brad (Debbie) Goss, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her younger sister, June (Kovach) Grozik, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
