Mark R. Sunkel Sr.

Mark Robert Sunkel, Sr. of Barnhart, MO passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Mark was born on March 22, 1956 in St. Louis, MO to Dolores (nee Sucher) and the late Robert Sunkel; Beloved husband of Cindy K. Sunkel (nee Young); loving father of Amanda Kay (Fiance Christopher Gruendler) Sunkel and Mark Robert Sunkel Jr.; son-in-law of the late Larry and Jean Warren; brother of Linda (David) Engle and the late Kathleen (Wesley) Seay, Steven Sunkel, and Kevin Sunkel,; brother-in-law of Sherry (Mike deceased) Murray and the late Belinda Lewis; uncle of Teresa, Angie, Josh, Matt, Dani, Brittany, Kelsey, Timothy, Matthew, Ryan and Robbie; great uncle of Dylan, Rachel, Hunter, Justin, Jacob, Jackson, Madelyn, Cooper and Garrett; great great uncle of Camden.

Mark enjoyed reading books, cross stiching, St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, Blues Hockey, collecting stamps, baseball cards and fishing with his family.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2020 from 2-6 pm at Hoffmeister South,, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis, MO 63125. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 9, 2020, 10:00 am at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 610 W. Ripa, St. Louis, MO 63125.
