Joseph Pilkington “Joey” O’Connell, III was born on June 16, 1965 to Ann and the late Joseph O’Connell, Jr in St. Louis, MO. Baptized in the hope of Christ’s Resurrection, Joey passed away on August 28, 2021 surrounded by his family in Saint Louis, MO.
Joey is survived by his mother, Ann, former spouse Chantelle and their three children, Keely, Shea and Patrick O’Connell, his sister Sean Meyer and Joey’s nieces and nephew, Grace, Maddie, and Elliot Meyer along with aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends.
Joey was a loyal member of the Elks Lodge # 9.
A Memorial Mass celebrating Joey’s life is being offered at 11:30 am on September 25, 2021 at Saint Monica Catholic Church, 12140 Olive Blvd., Saint Louis, MO 63141. Friends are invited to gather before Mass from 10:45 – 11:30 am to share memories and stories.
