Dennis Michael Collins, age 69, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019. Dennis was born on December 13, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri. He is survived by his wife Debbie Collins (nee Schneider), daughter Joey (Brock) Niemeyer and his grandchildren Collins and Auggie Niemeyer. Dear Brother, Brother-in-Law, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and Friend too many. He was preceded in death by his parents Timothy and Shirley (nee Luster) and Brother Timothy.
Dennis was an avid sports fan; cheering on Mizzou, Notre Dame, the former St. Louis Football Cardinals, St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals. He also enjoyed spending his Saturday nights during the summer at the Muny. His favorite theater production was West Side Story. Dennis played the role of Riff in his high school’s production of West Side Story.
Dennis was a former member of the St. Louis Ramblers Rugby Club and grew up playing ball at the Boy’s Club.
More times than not you could find him watching his favorite show, Jeopardy.
The visitation for Dennis will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63125. The Funeral Service is Friday, August 23, 2019, 12:00 pm at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4550 Telegraph Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63129. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery, 1800 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63125.
