Todd "Toad" J. Darwin

Todd “Toad” James Darwin, affectionately know as T.J., 57, of Saint John’s Florida, passed away 02 October 2024. He was born in Buffalo, New York on 16 September 1967. Todd Darwin graduated from Frontier High School, received his Bachelors from Jacksonville University, and his Masters from the University of Florida. Toad served 26 years in the United States Navy. Toad started his career as a Hospital Corpsman, but spent most of his career as a Naval Aviator flying the SH-60B helicopter and retired in September 2013 with the rank of Commander. Todd Darwin then worked at Florida Blue as a project manager and marketing director. He was a member of the Wounded Warrior Project and Operation New Uniform and had a passion for boating, shooting, golfing, football, and history. He is preceded by his Father James Alvin Darwin and mother Diane Marie Darwin. He is survived by his son and fellow Naval Aviator Lieutenant Collin “Desk Pop” James Darwin, sister Jill Diane Haffner, brother-in-law John C. Haffner, niece Ashley Diane Haffner, and nephews Corey James Haffner and Drew William Haffner. Funeral arrangements will be held at 1PM on the 11th of October 2024, at Hardage-Giddens 1285 Saint Johns Parkway, Saint Johns FL 32259. Todd will be buried at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on the 17th of October 2024 at 2:30PM.
