Nancy was the love of his life for more than 20 years, and we are blessed that they will be eternally together.
Steve was born November 5, 1953 in Costa Mesa, California to Seaborn and Kaethe “Kitty” Morris. Steve spent his early years living in Germany as his father served in the U.S. Army.
Steve spent the latter part of childhood growing up in Rancho Cordova where he graduated from Cordova High School in 1971. He served in the U.S. Army from 1972-1975 and was stationed in Germany along with his brother, Robert J. “Bob” Morris, with whom he shared a very close bond.
Following his military service, Steve came back to Rancho Cordova and worked with Bob for several years in the auto parts business. He played competitive softball for teams such as Shakey’s Pizza, Lamppost Pizza and Roma’s Pizzeria No. 2. From 1982-1984, Steve pitched Shakey’s to nine consecutive Rancho Cordova league titles and several tournament championships – team accomplishments for which he was very proud. Steve was also an avid bowler with several 300 rings being active from childhood until his passing.
Steve and Nancy were regulars at Cameron Park Country Club, where Steve was a member. He was an exceptional golfer and friend to many in Rancho Cordova, and the communities of El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park and Rescue.
Steve was a kind and passionate soul, never hesitating to lend a hand to a friend in need. He will be remembered for his kind heart, generous nature and fun-loving personality. He was larger than life.
Steve was blessed with a loving family, and had faithful and longtime friends, many of whom went back to childhood. Preceding him in death were his parents, and his brothers, Joe and Bob.
