Marjorie Jean Dovi

Marjorie J. Dovi passed away on May 28, 2024. Marge was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband Sebastian (Tom), her sister Carol Ann Lewis and her extraordinary daughter Mary (John).  Marge is survived by her children Thomas (Ginny) James and Susan, 7 grandchildren Terence (Jessica), Patrick (Mary) , Brian (Alexandra) Sheehan (Mary and John), Sarah (Tom and Ginny) Harrison, Erin and Ella Wismer (Susan and Mark), and 4 great grandchildren, Jackson, Parker (Terence and Jessica) Leonardo and Madeleine (Patrick and Mary). Marge was born in Chico, California in 1923. She moved with her mother Frances and stepfather Richard Lewis to Sacramento after high school. During World War II, Marge worked at McClellan Air Force Base and met Tom, a dashing Air Force navigator, tea dancing at the Senator Hotel. They married on May 26, 1946, and worked together at Tom Dovi Realtor for over 40 years. Marge graduated from California State University, Sacramento in 1981 and was a member of the Gypsy Traders where she was cherished for her hard work and ready smile. Mom was and will always be by our side.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Down Syndrome Society.
