Katie Lynette Good was born to Luis and Rustina Good on October 17, 2000 in Stockton, California. She grew up in Stockton with a mass of hair and eyes that sparkled; eyes that in every waking moment were absorbing the events of life that surrounded her; figuring things out in her own way.
Katie attended school in Stockton where she joined the City of Stockton recreational swim team and the Stockton Girl's Softball League, where she excelled.
She and her sister, Karissa grew up not just as siblings, but as best friends and in 2015 they moved together from Stockton to Sacramento California where Katie graduated from Luther Burbank High school in 2018.
Katie enjoyed trips to Disneyland and San Francisco, playing her music too loud, Birthday parties, taking selfies, perfecting her hair and makeup and when she would finish, she would kiss the wall, leaving it dotted in all of her various shades.
Katie was a beautiful, sparkling girl; enchanting and engaging she could light up an entire room. She leaves behind her mother, Rustina Good, her sister Karissa, her grandmother Mary, her father Luis and countless friends and family who will miss her dearly.
"There is sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief...and unspeakable love." - Washington Irving
Drawn to the medical field, Katie enrolled in the Registered Nursing Program at Sacramento City College with the hopes of one day earning her license, however on November 9, 2018, Katie was tragically killed in an automobile accident which also claimed the lives of her best friend and her boyfriend.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 12 pm until 2pm at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home. Burial will be held immediately following at Camellia Memorial Lawn.
