Karen passed away peacefully in her sleep at home after a short illness. She was preceded in death by both her parents Trgve & Diana, her sister Diane, daughter Leslie and grandson Zack. She is survived by husband Richard, Son Shannon, Granddaughters Sienna & Christina and her Grandsons Paul & Hunter. Her kids and Grandchildren were the light of her life. When she spent time with them or spoke about them she would beam with joy. She loved to bake and always made sure that when you would visit that she sent you home with a truck load of fresh baked cookies, her banana bread, zucchini bread or whatever new dessert she had attempted. Karen had a deep faith in God and loved her church and the "sisters" she gained within the church. She enjoyed her bible study group. She was always there to help weather it was a rummage sale, someone needed transport to a medical appointment or grocery store, or they needed some baked goods or servers for a funeral, she was there without hesitation. She made sure to call her friends weekly and enjoyed sharing stories about what was going on in their lives or just to check in and make sure they were ok. Karen enjoyed spending time with her friends and neighbors chatting, grocery shopping and going to the farmers market. Her and her daughter in law got to spend a lot of time together over the past 2 years and became much closer. They had many good belly laughs and had fun going shopping and just talking. She will be greatly missed by her entire family and all of her friends.
There is a church service Saturday May 7th at 1:00 p.m. at her church.
