James Garry Savage, age 88, of Herald Ca. passed away on March 17, 2022. Husband of his late wife, Shirley May Savage, father of Timothy James Savage, late son Gregory James Savage, daughter Tammy Marie Larsen and husband David Michael Larsen, son Garry Frederick Savage and wife Sylvia Avina Savage and daughter Amy Marie Hendrix and husband David Shane Hendrix and grandfather to 10 grand children and several great grand children. James is a veteran of the Army, where he learned his trait as an architectural engineer. He built streets starting in France that led to other countries while in the military. After the military, James went to work for companies such as Singer and eventually retired with Xerox, where he has several patents. James raised his family in Newark, Ca and eventually moved to Henderson NV. After the passing of his wife, he moved to Manteca, Ca. and lastly to Herald, Ca. James loved fishing, camping, gambling, building and the Oakland A’s. James lived with his daughter Amy Hendrix and son in law, David Hendrix, where he could fish everyday in their stocked ponds and help to maintain the farm. A simple life with a Mercedes’ sports car and attending many family events, was what James enjoyed doing in his later years.
