Carol Helen Constantine-Bandaccari wife of late Lawrence Vasco Bandaccari met her Lord and Savior on April 13, 2016. She was born on December 29, 1935 to Charlotte Mae Myshrall-Constantine and Frank Foster Constantine. She had outlived eight siblings Alfred, Robert, William (Bill), Elizabeth (Betty) Camper, and John(Jack). Three died in infancy. She left behind four children Lawrence Jr., Barbara Ann, Frank James and Theresa Ann; three grandchildren Crystal Ann, Kyle James and Ryan Michael; a great-grandson plus nieces and nephews near and far away.
She had graduated from St. Francis elementary and high school in 1950& 1954. She attended Sacramento City College for a few years prior to meeting her husband Lawrence. She went back to school a couple of times but never got her AA degree. She married Lawrence May of 1958.
She belonged to school and adult choir. She belonged to the Newman Center when she first entered college. She belonged to the Native Daughters of the Golden West for 50 years. It was an organization she was proud of since her mother, aunts and sister belonged to it as well. They preserved the history of California and protected. She did volunteer work at Sacred Heart School when her children attended as a teacher's aide and Mother's club who cofounded the Home Tour and come back to help out with the Christmas program, Home Tour and other things when her granddaughter attended SHS. She was involved in Girl and Boy Scouts with her first three children. She was score keeper when her boys were in Little League while her husband was assistant and head coach. She dedicated to Sacred Heart Altar society, Litergey of the hours and could be seen discussing Scripture or Bible study over coffee at Starbucks with friends.
She traveled with her parents by train and car to various states. But her heart belonged always to the state she was born and raised, California. She would share this love for travel and camping with her children and briefly granddaughter. They went to Arizona, Oregon, Washington State, Canada, Utah but most often to South Lake Tahoe. Her father designed in his head and built with his sons a small cabin up there. It was where he and his wife planned to retire, but he had to sell it for medical reasons. She loved her trip to Alaska but longed to go to Greece.
She worked at two other insurance companies before making a career at Fireman's Fund insurance for eleven years. She climbed the ranks quickly and loved her career and family. She worked a total sixteen years but later two more years with Primerica Financial Services. It was something she hadn't worked in before.
Later years her and her husband settled into a new aspect of their life being grandparents. But she shared her memories with her children and grandchildren of her youth and adulthood. They were married over fifty years when he passed away in 2010. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She loved adventure, life and very spiritual. Rest in peace Carol, you will missed by all the people you left behind. Remember when they wrote the St. Francis song the year you graduated. It was you who inspired it.
