Joanne Elizabeth Hansen

She was born in Rumford, ME on June 12, 1947 a daughter of the late Peter & Elizabeth A. (Kelley) Finnan. Joanne was raised in Rumford, ME, attending local area schools and graduating from Stevens Memorial High School. She married her high school sweet heart, Earle, on August 27, 1966. They settled in Mexico in 1973.

She worked for several different places throughout her life including Bass Shoe, FMI, Man Power and the US Post Office. She also spent time as an apple picker in the Livermore area. Joanne retired in late 2019.

She was a fierce matriarch, spending as much time as she could with family and friends.

She is survived by her three children Stephen R. Hansen and his wife Sherrie of Rumford, ME, Amy J. Williamson and her husband David of Windham, ME and Patti A. Belanger and her husband David of Farmington, ME. She also leaves seven grandchildren Michael, John, Kristie, Joshua, Jennifer, Sidney and Lexi; six great grandchildren Kaydn, Peyton, Liam, Kolby, Audrie and Bruinn, as well as her sister Carolyn Riley and her husband Tim of Clinton, ME and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 1 pm at the Thibault Remembrance Center, 250 Penobscot Street, Rumford, ME, with a time of remembrance to follow. She will be laid to rest next to her husband.
