Ron was born January 27, 1962 in Wilmington, DE, to the late Adrian and Marian Charron. He grew up with a passion for golf, fishing, and the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. (GO BIRDS!) A veteran of the US Navy, he was a Signalman on the USS Saratoga in the early 1980’s and enjoyed the opportunities to travel to different countries in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East over two tours of duty.
He will be remembered for: his deep love of his children and grandchildren, playing Pokemon Go with his kids, his adventurousness, his patriotism and love of his country, his sense of humor and ability to make his baby sister laugh, being incredibly neat, having great hair, his love of seafood (especially crabs with a cold beer) and sleeping. Ron himself wanted to be remembered as “One Hell of a Dude”.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Dani; son Ryan C. Charron and his wife Audra of Granville, OH; daughter Madison M. Huntsinger and her husband Macon of Canton, GA; grandsons Jaxon Huntsinger and Jensen Burton; granddaughter Natalie Charron; sisters Suzanne Perogine of Middletown and Melinda Kappauf of Newark and their families; beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Interment will be at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in the spring per Ron’s wishes. Date to be announced.
