Ralph was born on December 2, 1940, to Herman Thomas Stinson and Flora Winifred Blunt Stinson in Bath, NY. With Ralph’s decision at a young age not to stay on the family farm, he accepted a position with Dupont Corporation which took he and his young family to Plano, TX for a while, and then ultimately a move to Georgia. Ralph and his wife Mary joined All Saints Catholic Church with their move to Dunwoody, GA in 1982. As a member of the Knights of Columbus, Ralph became a familiar face at church fish Frys and any church function. Ralph was always a man of strong faith. No doubt he heard the words “well done good and faithful servant” – Matthew 25:21. when entering the gates of Heaven. A man of few words, he led those around him by his example of faithfulness to his church and to his family.
Ralph was an easy-going man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. When not involved at Church, he enjoyed spending time with his family, a good meal and was an avid baseball fan. A visit to Ralph’s in the Spring always meant he would be watching a baseball game. Any team, but he particularly loved watching the Atlanta Braves. It is fitting Ralph was able to enjoy the Braves winning the World Series for his final baseball season on this earth.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Visitation with the family, which will be held at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday Match 30th. The Knights of Columbus will be praying the Rosary at around 7:30.
