Patrick was born 9/10/90 in Merriam, Kansas and moved with his family to Georgia in 1994. As first born Patrick always had a strong desire to succeed at everything he did. Patrick loved all sports, as he grew up in Suwanee playing golf, tennis, baseball and basketball, and as an adult he was a fanatic about UGA football, Kansas basketball and his beloved Braves. He also was our first Lacrosse player, though only briefly, his example led his brothers to the sport. It was his Lacrosse coach who encouraged Patrick to follow the academic path.
Patrick was a 2009 International Baccalaureate graduate of South Forsyth High School. Patrick excelled at public speaking and writing. He poured himself into his studies, most school days he went straight to his room to study, had dinner with the family and then returned to his studies till bedtime. It was an accomplishment that allowed him to really enjoy his time at college.
Patrick graduated in 2013 from University of Georgia in Athens with a degree in Journalism & Public Relations and a minor in History. Patrick was a leader in the Phi Delta Theta fraternity serving as Treasurer and Vice President. He also somehow found time to work at Pauley’s Crepe Bar and enjoyed it immensely.
After graduating from college, Patrick joined Barracuda Networks as an Inside Sales person. Over his eight-year career at Barracuda, he progressed through various sales specialty positions. His most recent assignment was as a Cloud Security Specialist. Patrick loved his work at Barracuda, his customers, his peers and had great respect for the management team. Patrick approached his work with the same dedication that he had for academics. He enjoyed the opportunities to travel to visit customers, building relationships with partners and making the strategic sale. He often described working at Barracuda as a family and home.
Patrick departed this life on 8/23/22 after a lengthy illness at North Fulton hospital in Roswell, GA. During his illness, Patrick never complained and fought to the end.
Patrick will be missed immensely by his family and friends. Patrick had a love of politics and would always engage in lively debates. Patrick also was a gifted writer from a very early age, and had a great love of music and was always present for friends and family gatherings on Fripp Island, SC.
Patrick is survived by his father, David; brothers, Brian and Kevin Lee and grandmother, Harvey Darlene Lovejoy of Springfield, Mo.
Patrick’s mother, Sherrena Parker Lee, whom he loved dearly, predeceased him in 2013.
Patrick was a member of John’s Creek Presbyterian Church.
