Mildred was born on February 19, 1926, in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter to the late Nannie and Gus Wooten.
Mildred fell for the most amazing man, Marvin, and they were happily married for 36 years. They were blessed to have and nurture two loving children: Larry and Timothy. The love they shared created memories that will be remembered and cherished for forever.
She was a woman of God who was very kind and generous. No one was a stranger to Mildred; she was always there for anyone in need. A very tender and loving soul she was.
She loved spending time in front of the television, when she was not diving into her latest read. A true Southern belle she was, you could always find a good home cooked meal and a smile in her welcoming home. Her family and friends will forever remember her for her caring and loving spirit. She was such a joy to be around.
Mildred was an outstanding wife, mother, aunt and friend. Her life and love for her family will always be cherished in the lives of those who knew her.
Along with her parents, Mildred is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Head; sisters: Elsie Leatherwood, Bonnie Hale, Audrey Head, Virginia Davis, and brothers Jack Wooten, Obie Wooten, and Donald Wooten
She is survived by her loving sons; Larry Head and Timothy Head, and sister June Coleman, and countless relatives and friends.
