Kathy was the embodiment of the Maya Angelou quote, “People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.” Even a chance encounter with Kathy left people feeling important, loved, and valued. Those who knew her well were shaped by her love and a desire to be the person she believed they could be. While her passing leaves a profound absence, the love that she spread during her life echoes in all of us and flows back magnified.
Per her wishes, Kathy will not have a service. Instead, the family encourages those who knew her to gather with their loved ones and share the light of her memory. Please pass her love on to those who were not fortunate enough to know her in life.
Kathy donated to many worthy causes and believed in supporting her local community and helping loved ones. For those who wish to make a donation in Kathy’s memory, please consider making a donation in her honor to your own favorite organization.
