Born September 10, 1944 in Atlanta GA to Ralph C Bagley (U.S. Navy) and Maggie Sue (Hackett) Bagley (Teacher and Housewife), of Roswell GA. Judy lived in Roswell until she moved to Chattanooga TN to attend Tennessee Temple University, remaining in Chattanooga the rest of her life.
Blessed to work at IBJM (International Board of Jewish Missions) for many years from 1978 on where she led the tours of their museum; worked in the office doing secretarial work and helping with prayer letters, etc. She was privileged to help Dr. and Mrs. Gartenhaus (founder of IBJM) when needed. Judy was thrilled to tour the Holy Land with others … an experience she carried with her throughout her life. Her beloved Jewish friends and missions around the world held a huge part of her heart. Judy graduated from Tennessee Temple University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
She loved the Lord deeply and desired to serve Him and to share with others how they could also know from the Bible how to have their sins forgiven and to be ASSURED that they could KNOW they would go to Heaven when they died, just like she did! From the moment she entered Intensive care throughout those weeks and then to Hospice for the remainder of her life, she was so excited that she would be in Heaven soon!
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2: 8-9
An only child, Judy was preceded in death by her parents and numerous relatives. She leaves behind her cousin, Peggy, and the many friendships she made and sustained with missionaries throughout her life. Praying for them and for so many others was an integral part of her daily routine, as was reading her Bible, books about missionaries, watching DVDs about missionaries around the world and helping others when she could.
Per Judy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Her Memorial Service will be on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at Stanley Heights Baptist Church located at 1512 McBrien Rd Chattanooga TN 37412. NOTE: There will be something special in the Fellowship Hall following the service, and prior to the 12 noon departure to Roswell GA.
