Janet’s life was full of forever friends and family as her compassionate and loving nature endeared her to all those who knew her. Janet, affectionately known as Gommer, is survived by her brother Donald F. Smith and her three children, Gregory S. Wright and wife Carol, Jeffrey T. Wright, Jill W. Maggiore; four grandsons, Jason, Bryan, Chad and Michael and six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Janet was born and raised in Hammond, Indiana and a graduate of Purdue University where she earned a bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She later taught in the Hammond High School system and then at Purdue University.
After her marriage to Marshall H. Wright, Janet became a homemaker and raised her children. After Marsh’s passing in 1975, Janet married Bernard W. Bolls in 1984 and lived in Schererville, Indiana. After Bernie’s passing in 2005 she returned to Georgia to be near her family.
Janet will be remembered for her loving service in her church community, service in Emory John’s Creek Hospital Auxiliary (Lifetime Achievement Award), PEO, Victor group at Perimeter Church and the Pi Beta Phi Sorority and many other groups.
Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Thursday, December 3rd at the Roswell Funeral Home located at 950 Mansell Road, in Roswell, Georgia. A celebration of her life and her birthday will be held at 1:00pm Friday, December 4th at the Roswell Funeral Home.
