Jane was called home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2022 after succumbing to a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was born in Eastman, GA to Vera and JB (James Burel) Proctor. She was married to Nathan (Nat) Chesin for 60 years. They resided in Atlanta, New York, Decatur, Dunwoody, Suwanee, and Duluth.
Jane was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved to be with family and friends. She was a realtor, decorator, tennis player, sports mom, and hostess to all. She ruled the roost with a pointer finger and wooden spoon. She was loved and will be missed by everyone blessed to have known her.
Jane was preceded in death by parents, Vera Durden and JB Proctor Jr.; husband, Nat Chesin; son, Scottie Chesin; brother, Jeff Durden, and sister, Kathy Respess.
She was survived by son, Brad Chesin and his wife, Judy Chesin of Suwanee; their children, Jamie Griffith (Daniel) and Ashley Coppolino (Andy); son, Stephen Chesin and fiancé, Stacey Zeringue of Johns Creek; their children: Clay Chesin, Annalie Chesin, Gage Zeringue, and Gard Zeringue; daughter, Cindy Chaapel and husband, Tony Chaapel of Woodstock; their children, Hayden Chaapel (Kaylan) and Lauren Osborne.
Great-grandchildren: Sam Griffith, June Griffith, Jessie Griffith, and Jackson Campbell. Also survived by sisters: Susan Darley, Lynda Dill (Ricky Dill), Jill Oliver, and Jackie Beaty (Ricky Beaty).
