Born on August 17, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, Jerry pursued his passion for healing and earned his doctorate from the Illinois Medical School. His commitment to serving others led him to become a family practitioner.
During the Vietnam War, Jerry served honorably in the United States Army as a medical examiner, achieving the rank of Major. In 1972, Jerry was proudly awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal for his exemplary performance.
Beyond his many professional achievements, Jerry had diverse interests and a lust for life. He had an insatiable wanderlust, traveling the world and embracing the rich cultures he encountered. He was also an avid bowler, a loyal fan of the Atlanta Braves, and an enthusiastic enjoyer of local restaurants. Jerry always found joy in the simple pleasures of life and had the ability to light up every room he entered.
One of Jerry's greatest sources of happiness was his family. He cherished the moments spent with his wife and children. As "Papa Jerry," he found immeasurable joy and fulfillment in the company of his grandsons. He leaves behind his favorite person, wife of 45 years, Linda; children, Janeen, Scott, Madeleine, and Steven; treasured grandsons, Alex, Ryan, and Jack; mother-in-law, Shirley Rossof; and brothers, Harold Primack and Marvin Primack
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, friends, and well-wishers do an act of kindness in Jerry's memory.
May Jerry's memory live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and may he rest in eternal peace.
