Eugene 'Gene' Hulitt Hodges Jr.

Mr. Eugene ‘Gene’ Hulitt Hodges Jr., age 47, of Roswell, Georgia passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021. Gene was born on October 13, 1974 in Alexander City, Alabama, a son to Eugene H. Hodges and Kathy Cone.

Though born in Alabama and a true fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Gene considered Georgia his home. He was a graduate of Marietta High School, then following he attended North Georgia College where he received a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Gene was employed by Advanced Auto Parts for several years, working in various capacities. He enjoyed traveling with his mom and step-father to places like Hawaii, Mexico, and any other adventure they decided to embark on. In his spare time Gene could be found reading books from some of favorite authors like Robert Jordan or Stephen King, taking pictures, or playing with his beloved cat, Jim. Gene was a wonderful son and an amazing friend to many; he will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gene is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Hulitt Hodges. He is survived by his loving mother, Kathy Cone and Step-father, Brian Cone. Several aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends also survive.

The family of Mr. Eugene ‘Gene’ Hutlitt Hodges Jr., will be privately celebrating his life at a later date.
