Elizabeth Anne Volker

Elizabeth Anne Volker, 18 of Alpharetta, GA departed this life on October 22, 2012. Elizabeth was born on August 25, 1994 in Indianapolis IN; Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved Grandmother Patricia Volker. Elizabeth received her early education in Zionsville, IN where many teachers, friends and neighbors influenced her strong values. After moving to Georgia she graduated from Kings Ridge Christian School in 2012 where she received an academics education as well as an education in faith, family and love, and was awarded the excellence in Christian Life/ Service award. Elizabeth gave great joy and took pride in serving and managing athletic teams at Kings Ridge Christian School as well as the football team at Georgia Southern University where she was a student. She was a caring and loving servant to others, and was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. Elizabeth is survived by her parents, Mark and Kathy (Brown) Volker, Alpharetta, GA; brothers, Brian Volker, Boston, MA, Kyle Pittman, Atlanta, GA and Patrick Volker, Alpharetta, GA; grandparents, Eugene and Brenda Brown, Cullman, AL, Marie Brown, Decatur, AL, and Ronald Volker, St Peters, MO; numerous loving Aunts, Uncles and cousins, and her beloved dog Spike. Elizabeth will be dearly missed. A private family memorial service will be held on Saturday October 27 2012 at Roswell Funeral Home at 10:00 AM . There will be a public Memorial service to celebrate the life of Elizabeth on Saturday at 3:00 PM at Kings Ridge Christian School Student Center, 2765 Bethany RD, Alpharetta, GA. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Roswell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to King’s Ridge Christian School or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The Roswell Funeral Home is in Charge of the Arrangements.
