Elizabeth “Betty” Frances Manfredi, 80, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2022, in her home surrounded by loved ones. Betty was born on April 23, 1942, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Robert E. Conrady and Julia F. Baycura Conrady.
She graduated from Aliquippa High School in 1960 and began her work career at HH Robertson in Pittsburgh. After moving to Atlanta and raising her four young children, she worked as a medical receptionist at the Atlanta Center for Dermatologic Diseases, a place she loved, and where she remained until she retired.
Betty dedicated her entire life to her family. She raised four active children and attended every ball game and event they participated in. She was and still is their biggest fan and always gave tirelessly of herself. Without a doubt, her greatest joy was her 12 grandchildren who affectionately called her Grandma Betty. Grandma Betty spent every moment she could with her grandchildren showering them with love and making them laugh. One of her favorite holidays was Christmas and she was known to put up her tree in early November, if not sooner. She passed her love of Christmas onto each of her children. Grandma Betty loved to shop and shower loved ones with gifts. When driving and getting out became a challenge, QVC helped her continue her love of shopping! She always enjoyed going to movies, reading and coloring, especially in her last years as she spent more time at home.
Grandma Betty will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lynn Turner (Ricky) of Roswell, Georgia, her sons, Jack Manfredi (Mary Pat) of Athens, Georgia, and Joe Manfredi (Alissa) of Greenville, South Carolina, her daughter, Leslie Turner (Michael) of Duluth, Georgia; 11 grandchildren: Ricky(29), Justin(20), Matthew(19) and Christopher(19) Turner; Nicholas(24), Ryan(21), and Caroline(19) Manfredi; Mackenzie(19) and Bailey(17) Manfredi; and Madilyn(17) and Ashley(14) Turner; her sister, Louise MacCurdy (Jay) of Hendersonville, North Carolina, her brother-in-law, Jim Kotala of Ashville, North Carolina, her nieces, Karen Ledford of Ashville, North Carolina and Lori Paul (Zig) of Bradenton, Florida and her great-niece, Hannah Paul.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Julia Conrady, her beloved granddaughter, Jessica Nicole Turner, and her sister Joan Kotala.
