Mr. Clarence Kenneth "Ken" Cook

Mr. Clarence Kenneth (Ken) Cook, 75, of Cumming, Georgia passed away March 7, 2013 following a lengthy illness. Ken was born on March 27, 1937 in Columbia, S.C. to Clarence (C.K.) and Maude Thompson Cook.

Ken proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during the Cold War. His reserve unit was activated during the Berlin Crisis of 1961. He had a successful career in the high tech industry with AT&T, Western Union, and served as a National Sales Director for Racal-Milgo. He was a founder of Transport Data Communications and Data Products Inc.

Ken was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling and fishing. His favorite pastime was restoring collectible automobiles. Ken was a genuine people person who loved his family dearly and lived life to the fullest.

He is preceded in death by his father C.K., mother Maude and infant brother Aubry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Brenda Mitchell Cook; son Chris Cook and future daughter-in-law Christine Schwartz of Macon; daughter Rebecca Williams and her husband Scotty Williams of Alpharetta; brother Paul Cook of Augusta; and grandchildren Jacob Cook and Macy Williams.

A celebration of Ken's life will be held at a service on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 11:00 am at Mt. Pisgah UMC, 2850 Old Alabama Rd, Alpharetta, GA. He will be laid to rest at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton with military honors at 2 P.M.
