Roswell, Georgia – Cheryl “Wild Devine” Burney, a phenomenal woman, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014 after a brave battle with cancer. Every day she was with us, we were aware that we had this sacred gift who we cradled in our hearts carefully; a precious, fragile soul touched by God, and delivered to us for safekeeping, for as long as she would stay. We always knew she was a profound gift to us and all who loved her; a meteor that shot across our skies, lit up our lives, made us watch her in awe, changed our perspectives, and always, always helped us to dream. In so doing, she prepared us for the joys and challenges in our lives and with the job done, is now gone. Why we were so blessed to have her we do not know, but the honor of that, the profound privilege of it, will never be lost on us. Cheryl’s gift of living life to the fullest, loving freely, laughing with abandon and caring deeply touched us all and we will be eternally grateful for that. Thank you, God. Thank you, Cheryl, for being our guiding light, our loving support, our pillar of strength, our own sweet angel.
Cheryl is survived by her beloved husband, Michael and her sisters, Janis and Robin Kuehner. She is predeceased by her loving parents and grandparents.
