Brenda Bowen Mansell

Brenda Bowen Mansell, age 73 of Cumming, GA passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at Arbor Terrace of Johns Creek in Suwanee, GA after a long fight from the residual effects of a severe stroke in May of 2017 along with the onset of dementia. Brenda was born in Atlanta, GA and was raised in Roswell, GA. She was a graduate of Roswell High School class of 1962. Brenda retired from Fulton County School Transportation where she started her career as a school bus driver, later became a safety trainer and retired as a supervisor.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father William “Bill” Fouts Bowen of Roswell, GA, mother Una Irene Bowen of Woodstock, GA and sister, Lura Mae Bowen Ledbetter Gilmer of Woodstock, GA.

She is survived by her two loving daughters, Tonya (John) Lavoie and Tamara Callahan, both of Cumming, GA, grandchildren Hannah and Matthew Lavoie, brother Ronnie (Susan) Bowen and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held between 12:00 and 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Roswell Funeral Home located at 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076. Funeral services will be immediately following at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery adjacent to the funeral home.
