Alan Shaw, 63, passed away on October 9, 2024. Born on July 25, 1961, in Bolton, England, Alan graduated from Woolston High School, Warrington, England. At the age of 19, he met the love of his life, Suzanne (17 at the time), at their workplace, where he would cleverly break her computer just to have a reason to see her. Their love blossomed, leading them to marry and later move with their family to Alpharetta, Georgia, in 1997 when Alan was working for MCI World Com. He later worked for ADP before becoming self-employed as a home renovator.
Alan was known for his gentle nature, outgoing personality, and many friendships. He enjoyed golfing, riding his motorbike, and was deeply dedicated to his family. One of his greatest joys was being a granddad, and he recently cherished spending time with his granddaughter, Scarlett, at Grandparents Day at her school. Alan also had a special love for dogs, particularly his two beloved dogs, Ellie and Dolce.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Suzanne Shaw; his sons, Chris Shaw (and his wife Laura) and Mark Shaw; his granddaughter, Scarlett; his parents, Val and Vernon Shaw; and his brother, Graham Shaw (and his wife Claire).
A memorial service will be held on October 23, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Roswell Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Atlanta Humane Society, https://atlantahumane.org/
