Sharon L. Shacklett

Sharon Lee Shacklett, age 70, of Fraser passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013 in Troy. Sharon was born on March 9, 1943 in Fullerton, California to Gayland Harvey & Violet Evelyn (Standfest) Smith. She had many interests and occupations including, waitressing, real estate agent, and was an award-winning oil painter, antique re-finisher and ceramic maker. Along with her late former husband, Richard, they raised three children: the late Sherry Popour (1998), Richard G. Popour and Laura Popour (Mike Klein). She was a proud grandmother of Cole Popour, step-grandmother of Mikki and Step-great-grandmother of Mariah. Dear daughter of Violet E. Smith (Lou DiNardo); loving sister of, Darla Ward, Terri Schroeder and Bonnie Gonzalez. Four Nieces, three Nephews, Six Great-Nieces and Seven Great-Nephews also survive. Sharon was pre-deceased by her husband Jerry Shacklett (1999).

Friends may visit on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 2:00 – 9:00 p.m. which includes a service led by Sharon’s cousin, Rev. Bruce Standfest, at 7:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home 27830 Gratiot Avenue, Roseville, MI. Memorials may be made to Beaumont Foundation – Rose Cancer Center – 3711 West 13 Mile Road Royal Oak, MI 48073.
