Today was the first day of training at camp for this summer and it was so weird not having Connor there. I always sat with him at every training. I thought last summer was going to be hard, but this will be the first full summer without him. On my way there, I was scared, but then Mr. Brightside started playing and I knew that was him saying it was going to be ok. Miss you always Connor.

Connor was an amazing person. He had a pure heart, he wanted to help, teach, and care for people. He was and is loved by everyone who was part of his life. The memories people shared with him will now be loved and cherished, no one will be forgetting him. He touched so many peoples hearts and made such big impacts on peoples lives. His legacy will live on for a very long time. The hundreds of people and kids he knew will be sure of that. People will continue to share his story with others, it is truly a great one. He was extremely loving and kind. He was appreciative and was grateful for the little things. He is going to be missed forever without a doubt. Connor was a life changing and unforgettable person. Whether to his family, students, campers (grandchildren), friends, or just people who knew him, he had impacted their life in an amazing way. We all love and miss you Connor, we forever will.

I had the privilege of meeting Connor our sophomore year of high school, as we were in the same Seminar class for the Early College of Macomb program. As so many have said, one of his superpowers was his ability to make and maintain friendship with everyone around him, and that was absolutely the case with our relationship. After we graduated from the program, we continued to be good friends throughout our time together at the University of Michigan. He’d come see me working at the movie theater in high school, we’d play this bomb diffuser game together over FaceTime, and, as we both transferred to UofM, we’d do more ‘adulty’ things like get sugary drinks and cinnamon crunch bagels from Panera and laugh about our latest crazy college stories (like someone randomly chugging a gallon of milk in one of his classes) and occasionally find time to crack a book. He never missed a birthday, or, should I say, the opportunity to send me that goofy birthday song. I know there must be other pictures of us out there, but the only one I can find is this silly selfie, which I think is pretty fitting. Connor was an incredible human, and I’m just really grateful I did have the chance to spend some time with him.

I did not know Conner, but I do know Corey, and I am glad to think of him more as a friend than a co-worker.

Corey is a fine man, I am sure Conner was too.  It is sad that the world lost such a fine young man; clearly Conner was destined to be a leader in his... our... community for years to come.

My condolences to Corey and Kathleen.  I urge you to think not of the tragedy, but to think of the sunshine and blessings which Conner gave to the world.   For those whose lives he has touched, are truly enriched forever.  God's richest blessings to the family.

My condolences to Connors family, he was sons teacher and this was such a shock. My heart goes out to his family and I pray God gives them the strength to endure this. I heard only wonderful things about Mr. McMahon . RIP.

Connor was one of the greatest friends I’ve ever had. I will forever cherish our talks about teaching and its many obstacles. I always left those conversations feeling inspired and knew that you were meant to be an educator. I’ll miss our discord movie nights, our silly Snapchat streak (which was usually a picture of your dog Alex), and sending each other memes on Instagram. Most of all I will miss going to football games with you. I truly feel like it brought us together in a way that only U of M sports could. It will never be the same without you Connor, but I will always think fondly of those memories. You are one of the few people who share the same top priorities as myself which is why I think we bonded so quickly. Your dedication to your faith, family, friends, career, and alma mater will forever be remembered. I will miss you dearly. 

I didn't know Connor well, but I had the privilege of sharing two classes with him at Michigan. His energy, brightness, and positivity made a dull class fun, and I knew from his social media that his students just had to love him. The world has lost a special person; the kind of person who shines a bright light and makes us all better. 

Our daughter has been at Summer Day Camp every year with "Mr. Connor" (also known as 'Grandma' to the SDC kids) and without question, Connor has consistently been in her Top 3 favorite things about summer camp every year.  When summer returned every year, Maci couldn't wait to get back to SDC so she could "give the grown-ups a hard time" - which of course, Grandma was a big part of! We loved him for how he cared for and uplifted our daughter - just like all the SDC kids and Fraser students he encountered.  He has left a lasting impression on thousands of kids in the area who will grow to be better adults for having known Connor. 

Although I never had him as a teacher he was nothing but nice. We would say good morning to each other with smiles. He helped so many people like social studies and enjoy the value of history. Rest in peace Mr. McMahon and thank you for helping to shape young minds.

Rest easy Mr.McMahon I’ll never forget when me and Miranda were watching a show in class doing our work and he lifted up the phone to it playing the show and he goes “I wasn’t born yesterday the day before maybe”  or the moment when Miranda told me that he wanted us to be in the lip Sync battle with him and how excited we were to do something with our favorite teacher, it was just so fun to be in his free block at the end of the day  and laugh with him and his brother about the rehearsal and how we wanted to do it.  Mr. McMahon connected with me and others on a different level and guided us into greatness even in that very short period of time that I had got to spend with him. Forever in my heart! 

Though i did not have him as a teacher.. He still had a smile on his face, and every interaction i had with him was always positive and he always had a kind thing to say about anyone he met and i could tell that he loved being a teacher and be able to teach others and become what he dreamed of.. He will forever be missed by me and the whole fraser district. Rest easy 

I want to start with my deepest condolences for the family, I cannot understand how much pain and grief you all are going through and I’m so sorry for what happened… he was a good teacher from what my classmates told me and even supported my Art Honors club and was such an outgoing spirit. I never had a class with him but I’d pass his class every day and every single day he always had a smile on his face and a fun shirt or shirt and tie every day. I could tell he truly enjoyed his job and loved to be there too. It brought a smile to my face passing him and his door and as a senior who has graduated I can’t fathom the pain the family is going through nor the students of Fraser High School. He was very kind and never shy to try something new and find ways to enjoy his job. He truly was beyond proud of his students and loved every single one of them. He’ll be watching over your family as well as his students his memory will live on in the hearts of us all 

I remember when I first walked into his class and he made everyone feel welcomed. He made learning actually fun. He made a point to make a relationship with each of his students. He would talk to me about p!atd and other bands we both liked. I was excited to see him next year. Taken too soon.

I remember seeing Connor at HFTN, he was probably two months old. Those big blue eyes. Watched him grow was a blessing for me and so many others. What a precious man he became. So many people he blessed. The legacy he left was way beyond his years. I'm so sorry for the family's loss but know it's heavens gain. He's with loved ones living the best ever. We'll all see you again Connor and it will be your turn to usher us in those pearly gates like your grandma, papa, and others family members did with you. You are so loved Connor, forever and a day

I will never forget when he was talking to me about my future and what I wanted to do and when I told him I wanted to teach because he had inspired me too his face lite up and he asked if I was going to teach at fraser with him, fraser wasn't were I wanted to end up but teaching along side of him made me okay with fraser. So now instead of teaching along with him I will teach in his memory. And my room will always have an Aretha Franklin wreth and a spidey figure for the inspiration for my teaching career. And that was only one of the many memories he gave me

While he wasn’t my teacher, he was always such a positive person when I interacted with him. Many of my friends were his students, and it’s horrible that such a good person has to go so young.

Connor was my friend and a mentor even before working at Fraser. We both worked at a summer camp and he was there for me and helped me every step of the way my first year. I was so excited when he got the job at Fraser and I visited him and his classroom every day. We talked about everything. My softball team, what camp would be like this year, major league sports, and anything U of M related (go blue!). He was still always there for me as a teacher and as a friend. I spent almost the whole day with him the day he passed. Him and I walked around Tigers stadium talking about anything as we waited for the rain delay to pass. I will forever remember him and the knowledge and life lessons he shared with me.

I co-taught with Connor last year. It was the first full year in our own classrooms. We would joke in front of our class like we hated each other to the point that my 7th graders expressed they really couldn't tell we were joking. 

I was both sad and elated that I wasn't going to get to work with him this year, but I knew how much teaching his brother meant to him. It was literally his dream come true. 

I will always take forward the idea to not take myself too seriously. Connor would do anything to make his students or his friends smile. 

One of the nicest young men you would ever hope to meet. This world is less because of his departure. There are no words in the human language to express how grieved we are for this families loss!!!

Connor has been my friend for many years, since I was a freshman and he was a junior in high school. We were all a part of a close-knit friend group that has stuck together ever since. He always cracked the best jokes and really brought life and light into any room he walked into. We all grew up together, watched each other graduate high school and college, and cheered each other on in our accomplishments. One thing about Connor is that he always let us know how much he valued our friendship, and I hope he knows how much we did as well.

McMahon was the best teacher I have ever meet he was truly a sweet and kind person. McMahon was my Econ teacher this year and just made my year the best one yet. He would always say hi to me in the hallway and I would always come back to his class  so I could say hi cuz he was always so happy. This was a photo my friend took of me sitting in his chair and it’s my favorite memory because it took him a couple minutes to notice I was there. He will forever be my favorite teacher.

I met Mr. McMahon this year as my 10th grade US history teacher. When I walked into his classrooms for the first time I immediately knew his room would be a safe space for anyone who entered through his door. As the year progressed he became someone I could talk to with ease and comfort. We talked about anything, marvel, classic rock, panic at the disco, fall out boy and other albums coming out this year. I would suggest music for him and he would do the same for me. He taught me a lot this year not just about history but how to better myself as a person. I got the chance to tell him I saw him as my mentor and someone I could forever look up to. He wanted to be that teacher to make the difference and I can tell his family in confidence that he absolutely was. He was such an amazing genuine person, funny, smart, and caring. There aren’t many people like him and I could not be more glad to have the honor of knowing him. I hope his scholarship gets approved, it’s well deserved.

I did not know Connor personally, but I feel as if I did just from all of the conversations and stories, I always heard through his dad Corey. My wife and I have known Corey for close to 20 years and one thing I can definitely say is that Corey was so proud of both of his boys.  I have no idea how this family is dealing with this magnitude of a loss. It's been nice to read the memories and thoughts that people have of Connor. We will continue to pray for the entire Mcmahon family and the friends, students and others that Connor has touched in his life.  Death & loss are hard enough, but no one should ever have to be forced to say goodbye to their children. I hope everyone that was a part of Connors life will carry on his legacy in some form or another. Hearing the excitement and pride in Corey's voice when he would tell us things about Connor and Carter makes it very apparent that his boys meant everything to him.  To the entire Mcmahon family, you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
