What can I say about Stan that has not already been said. I worked with Stan at the Roseville PO from 1994 to 2019. I was his relief carrier for a time and did his route 7802 on his days off. I can say firsthand that his customers loved him. I saw the disappointment on the faces of his customers when they found out he was off that day. It was like the day was a waste without their visit form Stan. It seems like he shared his passion for collecting with everyone he met. His collecting of older souvenirs seemed to be a reflection on how he carried himself and his friendliness, if you saw Stan you knew he was a throwback to the sixties with his long hair look. We used to tease him about being so skinny and warn him on a windy day to wear something heavy so he would not blow away. We would also tease him about his old car that had the white and rust paint job. We told him not to wash it because the rust was the only thing keeping it together. Stan was a very special person in that you don’t meet a person like him very often in life. He was a kind and genuine person that I had the pleasure to know. Stan still had things to collect and a story to tell about it, but at such a young age he is now gone and will be missed by so many friends, family and postal customers.

We were shocked and saddened to hear that we will never again enjoy the pleasure of bumping into Stanley at Goodwill, the Antique Trove or while on route delivering the neighborhood mail, going about life in his gentle, good-humored way. Our deep condolences go out to all those who knew and loved him.

What a great guy.   He always took the time to make you feel like the mail carriers of yester-year......Not just a mailman, but a friend you love to see, admire, and respect.   I enjoyed "hooking him up" at Christmas time let him know how much we appreciated him.    Last Summer I went on a kayak trip on the Salmon River in Idaho.    I brought him a coffee cup from "Stanley", Idaho where the trip began.  I'll never forget the look on his face that da,y,  good 'ol Stanley!

Stan the Man as I called him once in awhile as I got to know him better . Stanley was our mailman  on Darling way . At one point he went on to Keenher area but only found out because  I ran into him at Goodwill  on Douglas in  Roseville . There we found we had a common  interest  in vintage collectibles . Stan was always willing to show and share what he liked and found  that day. From books  to odd trinkets to of course his "Records" basically  anything  vintage  lol ." I am very saddened to hear of Stan's sudden passing.  I worked with him at the Roseville Post Office for 18 1/2 years and he was always a pleasure to work with, dedicated to his job and extremely good at it.  He would joke about how bad he was at his job, but we all knew better.  He was a very unique individual with his long hair, love of finding and collecting old vinyl records and of course, there was that cool old car he had and loved, which he grieved for long after its passing.  He was loved by his customers and coworkers.  We will miss you Stan!

My wife and I are shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Stanley.   He was such a great and friendly guy.   As a retired letter carrier myself, I know the rigors of the job.   Stanley did an awesome job week in and week out.    Always delivering with a smile and conscientious service.  He was our carrier for 11 years.   We would have our little chats about Post Office happenings and one of his passions (which we shared), collecting vinyl records.  Our condolences to his family.    He will be sorely missed.

We were very sad to learn the passing of Stanley. He was an awesome mailman. He always had a smile on his face and never hesitated to bring mail to my house  just to say hello. Our condolences go out to his friends and family. Rest in peace my friend.

I am so sad to learn of Stan’s passing. He always greeted me so cheerfully! He was my mail carrier for years, and I never saw him in a down mood. He always had time to personally hand me my mail or take a package and would do so happily. To his family and friends, I share my deepest sympathies for your loss. Jen

I have known Stanley for almost 8 years through work. He has been our mail carrier this whole time. He was an awesome guy, he was always walking in with "How's it goin!" and left with "Have a good one!" He was reserved until you talked to him about baseball. We're all going to miss him at our shop, he was a truly unique individual.
