Michael Allen Watts age 61 of Roseville, CA passed away on Monday November 28, 2011. Michael was born on January 30, 1950 in Milton West Virginia to loving parents Ervin and Freda Watts. He was married August 22, 1970 to Jeri Watts for 20 years and had two sons, Brandon Michael in August of 1974 and Justin David in February of 1976. Michael had two Grandchildren, Hannah born in December of 2000 and Luke born in March of 2003. Michael lived most of his life in the Sacramento, CA. Michael was a lover of the outdoors and his hobbies included camping, fishing, driving off road vehicles, ATV's, water sports and playing the guitar. He was an avid "car guy" and had many muscle cars and hot rods throughout the years.
Michael served in the Armed Forces as a member of the United States Coast Guard from May of 1968 to May of 1972 and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. During his time with the Coast Guard, Michael received the the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device and the Good Conduct Medal. He spent most of his adult life in the trades as a Carpenter / Contractor and in his later years ran a home maintenance business and did high end cabinetry and finish carpentry work.
Michael loved spending time with his family and friends and was always able to make people laugh, he had great sense of humor and willingness to help people. Michael loved animals, in particular dogs, most notably his beloved Boxer Hammer who spent many years with him after his kids had grown.
Michael is survived by his parents Ervin and Freda Watts, brother Terry Watts, sons Brandon Watts and Justin Watts, Nephews Nicholas Watts and Jeramie Watts and Grandchildren Hannah Watts and Luke Watts. A memorial service will be held Monday, December 12, 2011 at 2:00pm at the Lambert Funeral Home Chapel located at 400 Douglas Blvd Roseville, California 95678 - (916) 783-0474.
