Mary King Battey, 93, passed away on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020. She was born May 5th, 1926 in Savannah, GA.
Ms. Battey was the daughter of Josephine and Horace Battey. She was preceded in death by brother Horace (Buddy) Battey, sister Dody Hollingsworth and nephew Robbie Hollingsworth. She is survived by nieces Carolyn Norris, Margaret Zachry, Anne Grant, Ginger Dover and nephews Tom Hollingsworth, Joe Hollingsworth, Lewis Hollingsworth.
She was an accomplished vocalist and a retired stock broker, but was “Aunt King” to her nieces, nephews and their children. She was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta, GA. A graveside service will be conducted at Myrtle Hill Cemetery on March 14, 2020 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Fr. John Bower officiating.
