John was born in Rome, Georgia September 4, 1957.
John was a very creative person and worked creating metal art work for many years.
He is survived by his parents, Jean Margaret Horrigan Peña and Ciro Fernando Peña of Rome; and one brother, Ciro Thomas Peña of Asheville, NC.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, November 6th 2017, at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 911 N. Broad Street, Rome, with Fr. Rafael Carballo officiating, assisted by Fr. Valery Akoh, Deacon Stuart Neslin and Deacon Steve Thacker. A reception was held in the Parish Hall, lower level of the Church, immediately following the Funeral Mass.
Inurnment in the Parish's Memorial Garden will take place at a future date.
