Ms. Eleanor L. Reese, age 88, of Rome, Georgia, passed away Monday, January 13th 2020 at 5th avenue nursing facility. Ms. Reese was born in Rome, Georgia on March 15th 1931. Daughter of Moses Mevric Price Lindsey and Berta Lee Dearing. She was also preceded in death by her late husband Charles William Reese, and daughter Amy Reese Stanfield. Ms. Reese was a graduate of Rome High School in 1948. She was employed for several years with BellSouth telephone company and was also a volunteer with the American Red Cross. Ms. Reese was of the Christian faith and attended North Rome United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter Susan Reese Scavone (Addison, Illinois) and her three grandchildren Reese, Evan and Charles Stanfield and his wife Kaitlyn all of Rome.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17th of 2020 at Daniels Funeral Home of Rome, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm on Friday at Daniel's with a graveside service following the visitation at East View Cemetery.
