Dorothy Evelyn Storey

August 18, 1921 – November 16, 2020

Dorothy (Dot) was a graduate of Rome High School. Worked for EL Cantrell Real Estate for 16

years.

She married Robert Oscar Storey Jr (Bob) on May 14, 1955 and together they raised 2 sons,

Robert (Kathy) and Allen (Glenda). They remained in love and married until his death on

October 9, 1998. She recently responded to a question of how long she was married, with the

answer that she was still married. There was never anyone else for her other than Bob Storey.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Robert Oscar Storey Jr, and is survived by

her sons, 4 grandchildren Brandi Storey Puissegur (Andrew), Meagan Storey, McKenzie Storey &

Meredith Storey and 2 great grandchildren, Lucas Puissegur and Shawn Puissegur.

She was employed at Trinity United Methodist Church for 20 plus years where she was the

oldest living member. Dot remained active in various capacities at Trinity including serving on

the Official Board, starting the Wednesday Morning Prayer Breakfast, the evening Wednesday

Dinners and assisted in starting the Live Nativity. She also taught Sunday School and visited

shut-ins until her early 90s.

She enjoyed her family, church friends and Bridge. We were thankful we were able to celebrate

her 99th birthday party with a drive-by birthday party where she was able to see her friends and

church family for the first time during the COVD19 Quarantine. She loved that drive-by party.

She will be missed by many.
