She was born in Lavonia GA on September 1, 1930, and graduated from her much beloved Berry College in 1951. Anne and her three college roommates remained lifelong friends and they all lived well into their 90s. She became a Home Extension Agent for Northwest Georgia and had many fond memories and stories from her travels in those early years. After marrying in 1957 she and her husband moved to Atlanta where she worked until retirement for Dixie Stamp and Seal who were involved with all the local sports teams but her secret favorite was UGA where her husband graduated. After retirement Anne moved back to Rome to be near family and friends and was a faithful member of Second Ave. Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Julian Westfield, her parents Arnold Garvin Wilson Sr. and Annie Blanche Pierce Wilson of Lavonia GA, brother and sister in law Bobby Pierce Wilson and Isabel M. Wilson of Brentwood CA, sister in law Laverne Daniel Wilson of Stockbridge GA, niece in law Becky Bridges Wilson of Roswell GA, and just recently brother Billy Lamar Wilson of Summerville, GA.
Surviving is a brother Arnold Garvin Wilson Sr. of Anderson SC. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews that she became an extra mother to and loved them just as if they were her own. Kimberly Wilson Wright (Jeff) of Cartersville GA, Danny Wilson of Anderson SC, and Carla Wilson of St. Louis MO.
Grand nieces and nephews Brandon Wright of Smyrna, GA and Daniel, Parker, and Emily Wilson of Anderson SC.
Mrs. Westfield will be buried at Heritage Heights Cemetary in Chatsworth GA next to her husband on November 11, 2024. Visitation and funeral will be at Daniels Funeral home from 11-12, funeral 12-12:30, graveside burial in Chatsworth GA at 2:00PM.
In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to Second Ave. Methodist Church in Rome or a charity of your choosing in honor of Mrs. Anne Wilson Westfield.
