Virginia Ann Haskins, age 72 of Rogers, Arkansas moved on to greener pastures on Friday, May 24, 2024. She was high spirited, resilient and possessed a rare grit that made her a formidable woman.
She was tough and compassionate in equal measure with a wry yet sunny sense of humor. As a teen and young woman she trained horses and competed in show jumper events. Her knowledge of horses, at a young age, was valued enough to catch the attention of then California Governor Ronald Reagan who hired her to train his horse and would sometimes call her home to ask for her advice. She had a way with animals in general. It was not uncommon to see any number of beasts hanging out on her porch, both predator and prey at peace in her presence. She loved the lake that she lived on and the nature that surrounded it.
Defiantly Blonde to the very end, Ginny, as we called her, was a one of a kind human. We love her dearly.
