Joyce Ann Givers, 85, of Rogers passed away Friday, December 2, 2022. She was born September 11, 1937, in Bentonville, to the late Cecil Elbert Wilson and Golda Belle Bishop Wilson. Following graduation from high school and business college, she began a long accounting career. It started at Farmer’s Produce, and ended when she retired from Mercy Health, with several stops along the way including Walmart and serving the Rogers Public Schools as District Treasurer. Joyce was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan and a St. Louis Cardinal fan. In 1956, Joyce was named Rogers Diamond Jubilee Queen and remained very fond of the growth of Rogers and Northwest Arkansas. Her family will remember how well she cared for them, countless people around her, and her big hugs! She was known for her chocolate cake, batch of brownies or greeting cards she so loved to send. For nearly 66 years she was married, and is survived by the love of her life, Ted Givers; their son, John Givers of Rogers; her sister, Jennie Lou Jones of Rogers; sister-in-law, Juneve Givers of North Dakota; nieces, Becky Jones Gifford, and her husband, Richard, of Morrilton and Amy Jones Trickett, and her husband Mike, of Fayetteville; numerous extended family members; professional associates and dear friends. The family will receive friends at a Celebration of Life Reception from 2 – 4:00pm, Saturday, December 10, 2022 in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
