In 1933 Jack’s family moved to northwest Arkansas where he graduated from Bentonville High School in 1942. He continued his education at Freed-Hardeman College in Henderson TN, was drafted into the Army and eventually graduated from college with an Associate Arts degree. In 1948 he settled in Dallas, TX and worked as a design draftsman for Dallas Power & Light for 32 years. Following retirement he lived in Bella Vista, AR. He was a member of the Bentonville Church of Christ, an accomplished artist, and a recreational harmonica player.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy, one brother Calvin Crone and three sisters; Zoree Champion, Lola Sanders, and Theda Kiner.
He is survived by his son, Larry Crone and his wife Barbara of Bentonville, AR; his daughter, Rebecca Jarnagin and husband William of Camden, TN; four grandchildren, Jeff Crone, David Jarnagin, Angie (Crone) McKinney, and Deborah Jarnagin; and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mission Fund at the Bentonville Church of Christ, 904 N. Walton Blvd., Bentonville AR 72712.
