Donald F. Sumpter, passed away on December 7, 2018. He was born August 25, 1936 in Oklahoma to Robert and Alice (Griffin) Sumpter. He was the loving husband of Coretta “Corky” (Cargill) Sumpter for 62 years.
Donald was a family man through and through. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, traveling, riding motorcycles, and fishing. He was also a very generous man, who helped anyone in need. Donald was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Donald is survived by his wife, Corky of Rogers; sons, Allen Sumpter and wife, Barbara of Oklahoma, Darin Sumpter and wife, Laura of Texas, and Bryan Sumpter and wife, Cindy of Fayetteville; brother, Virgil Sumpter of Rogers; sister, Margaret Sumpter of Oklahoma; and 3 grandchildren, Danielle Sumpter, Cara Sumpter, and Garrett Sumpter and wife, Ainsley.
A Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 11:00 am in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel.
