This will not be well written or as sentimental as I would want it to be because I don’t have the strength and mental capacity to express how much Pops meant to me.  During my most vulnerable years as a young adult Pops was the most stable and helpful person in my life , and honestly at the time I wouldn’t have made it through my first year of college without him and his family. I would come home from college everyday wait for Elizaha to get home and I would sit and talk to Pop about my latest obsession with old classic rock songs , or what I was studying at school that day , or of course how much we both loved Elizaha . Pops new every song ever written so when I would come running home asking if he ever heard of “ELO” or “Black Sabbath” he would look at me like I was an idiot ( because I would act like I was showing him music he might have not have heard before but obviously had ) and start singing one of their songs or he would call me uncultured because I hadn’t heard of these bands before . He taught me so much and Im the person I am today because of him and I love and miss him . If I  could talk to him one last time I would thank him for this particular vivid memory , a memory of him whipping out his oversized bible and teaching me how to read from it and most importantly how to use it for prayer. Pops taught me the power of prayer ( if you’ve ever been to dinner at the Hudson’s house ,before eating Pop would make sure everyone would shut up , be very serious and prepare to recite an old catholic prayer )  and I would be nothing without Prayer ,so Pops … you saved my life , I love you and I have stop writing because it hurts too much

Mr. Hudson is in many of my memories, some of them the most fond and cherished that I have. His daughter, Sandi, has been my dearest friend since middle school. I remember one of the first nights I spent with the family and Mr. Hudson and Sandi insisted on playing cards. We played for hours (at least, that's what it feels like when I look back). Though it has been nearly a decade since we had times together like this, I will always hold a special place in my heart for my best friend's father. He was her cheerleader, her guidance, and her friend. Every relationship has its flaws, but the greatest thing I remember about Mr. Hudson was his ability to love people and his almost never ceasing smile. He will be missed, but I know he left his friends and family in good grace and with a love like nothing else. 

I am sure going to miss you little brother. Such a fine strong Christian…you loved your family so much. Lands the trouble you could stir when you was young ..but all you had to do is flash Mom that smile and all was alright! You and Mom was so close..you was just six when Daddy died but you were so like him…I love you.  Your Big Sissy..Malinda
