Thomas J Mahon Jr 68, of Palm Bay Florida, formally of Bristol, CT died peacefully Wednesday May 6, 2015.He was born on December 27, 1946 in New Haven CT, the son of the late Thomas J Sr and Madeline(Esposito) Mahon.
He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in West Haven, CT and received his Bachelor Degree at Quinnipiac College in Hamden, CT. Over the last 45 years Thomas went on to establish a very successful career in the Automotive Industry, retiring as General Manager/Owner from Torrington Honda in Torrington CT.
He was very active throughout the years in The Torrington Chapter of UNICO and many community sponsored events and fundraisers. He prided himself on his reputation and that his word and handshake was more binding then his signature.
Tom loved to spend his time with his family fishing, boating, golfing, flying, cooking and holding pancake breakfasts. He was also very active with the Boy Scouts.
Tom is survived by the Love of his Life and wife of 42yrs Susan(Lauzon)Mahon. His two Best Friends were his children, Son Robert Mahon and his wife Pat of Palm Bay, FL; Daughter Sheri Northup Fodiman and her husband Paul of Bristol, CT. His Proudest Legacies are his six grandchildren, Denver and Auston Mahon of Palm Bay,FL; Jordan and Connor Northup of Bristol, CT and Myles and Molly Fodiman of Bristol, CT. He leaves his brothers Henry Mahon Sr of East Haven, CT and David(Judy) Mahon of Branford, CT and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his loving sister Ann P Marenna, sister in law Jacquelyn Mahon and nephew Henry Mahon Jr.
