Bob was a sweet man with a sincere faith who loved others with a servants heart. He was a proud graduate of FSU and FIT, using his education to proudly serve as a pilot in the US Air Force and Air Force Reserves. He was involved in charitable activities at RCA and AT&T and was very proud of his contributions to the Apollo Missions. He was an active deacon in First Baptist churches in Indialantic, Orlando and Greensboro, NC. Bob was a leader in multiple Rotary clubs, receiving honors as a Double Sustainer, Paul Harris Fellow, and achieving club of the year in 2002 when he was president of The Indialantic Club. He also enjoyed volunteering at at the Air Force Space Museum at Cape Canaveral receiving their Lifetime Achievement Award. Bob loved museums, cars, trains, airplanes and he traveled to to all 50 states and all but one continent to enjoy his passions.
Bob loved his family, enjoying 55 years of marriage with Idella until she passed in 2008. He is survived by his current wife of 12 years, Doris, daughter, Dianne Caylor, two grandchildren and one great grandson.
A Visitation for Bob will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 from 10:30 AM at 1st Baptist of Indialantic, 170 Washington Ave, Indialantic, FL 32903 with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM and a Reception Lunch to follow. Bob will be laid to rest at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 US-1, Rockledge, FL 32955 at 2:30 PM.
