She was born July 12, 1927, in Breckenridge, TX, the daughter of Emmett R. and Faye (Scott) Elledge. Her husband George W. Denninghoff, parents, brother Lloyd Russell Elledge, sister Faye Elaine Netzer and daughter, Heidi Critchfield, all preceded her in death. Pat, “Mrs. D”, taught biology and chemistry while heading up a research science department in Brevard County schools for 25 years, retiring in 1989. She loved music, played piano and organ, enjoyed mean games of ping pong and cards, was deeply committed to family history research, wrote a legendary Christmas letter and for many years gave handmade ornaments to her grandchildren.
Surviving family members include six sons and two daughters, Christopher Curry, John and Scott Denninghoff all of Cocoa, FL, George Denninghoff II of Poquoson, VA, Karl Denninghoff of Tyler, TX, Kurt Denninghoff of Tucson, AZ, Nancy Harewood of Pasadena, CA, Karin Prince of Hoover, AL, 32 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 2 pm and funeral services at 3 pm on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1801 S. Fiske Blvd, Rockledge, FL with interment at The Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on the following Monday.
