Mark Stanford Parkhurst

Mark Parkhurst passed away peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2024, at the young age of 55. He passed in the gentle care of Vitas Inpatient Care in Rockledge after a battle with Liver Disease. Mark was a lifelong resident of Melbourne, Florida. He was born at Holmes Regional Hospital on January 15, 1969, a twin to Kathleen (Speer) and Ora Parkhurst.

Mark leaves grieving family and friends behind, including daughter Lea Marie Parkhurst, brother Michael and his wife Becke, and their daughters Taylor and Kathleen (Katy), with whom Mark lived for many years. Family in Melbourne and Illinois will greatly miss him. Mark is predeceased by his parents Kathy and Orie, multiple siblings from Indiana, and nieces and nephews.

Mark graduated from Eau Gallie High School in 1987 and worked in the Construction Industry for many years. Mark loved to fish and play cards. He was a self-proclaimed History Buff and gatherer of “useless” trivia knowledge. Mark was probably known best for his awesome sense of humor always trying to make people laugh.

A small gathering for Celebration of Life will held on Sunday November 3rd in NW Illinois for family and friends there and another Memorial gathering will be announced for Melbourne family & friends at a later date. The family requests no flowers or donations.
