John was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 17, 1929 and spent the first part of his adult life living in upstate New York, driving school bus, barbering, and local business owner and raising his family.
In 1980, he moved to Florida, becoming a Tour Escort for Kennedy Space Center for 22 years. The best job he said he ever had. John proudly served his country with the United States Coast Guard.
He was known for always having a smile and kind word for all and made many friends over his lifetime by always seeing the best in people and co-workers.
John loved to play golf, surf fishing, garage sale and swap shopping, playing poker, but most of all, being a Miami Marlins fan.
John is survived by his son Brad (Wanda) Fick, daughters Susan (Lawrence) Prevatte, and Kathy (Chris) Walker. He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Sue, and his youngest son, John. He had 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday May 27, 2014 7 O’clock PM at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 U.S. Highway 1, Rockledge, Fl. 32955 321-636-5054 at 7:00 P.M.
