He came to Brevard County in 1969 from California and worked in the Air Force as an Electronics Technician at PAFB. He first worked as a bank loan officer, then owned his own accounting and tax business for 40 years, and was one of the first consumer credit counselling agents in the State of Florida.
James is a Veteran of US Marine Corps and US Air Force. He was also a member of National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA), National Rifle Association (NRA), National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP).
He is survived by his wife, Linda Strayer Naff; daughter, Tanya Naff Petry (Roy); sister, Sue Lamp (Jake) and three grandchildren, Brandon, Marshall and Crystal Petry and many nieces and nephews. James is preceded in death by his son, James D. Naff.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 3:00PM, followed by a Celebration of Life held at Life Event Center at Florida Memorial Gardens on US 1 in Rockledge, Florida.
