Irma attended trade school in Germany and was trained to be a hairdresser. She met Cameron Rigler when he was in the Army in Germany during WWII. They married and moved to the United States in 1956. They were foster parents to many children and during this process they adopted three children: Eugene, Keith and Carmina.
The family moved to Melbourne, Florida from Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1969. Irma worked as the manager of Joanne Fabrics at Merritt Square Mall. After retiring, she worked part time at Brevard Florist delivering flowers. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her children: Eugene (Beverly) Rigler, of Mansfield CT; Keith (partner Jeanne Marzec) Rigler, of Palm Bay FL; and Carmina (Scott) Clark, of Palm Bay FL; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and many dear friends in the United States and Germany.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial , 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 3:00pm.
